Locride Transfers
ART. 1 OBLIGATION TO TRANSPORT
Locride Transfers will pledge to carry the person with a purchased travel document. It is strictly
prohibited the transport of:
• Dangerous goods, explosive or flammable materials;
• Pets (such as dogs, cats, etc.) Weighing more than 10 kg. except for guide dogs/medical dogs.
• It is permitted the transport of animals only with the use of the carrier or sling as required by
Article 169 of the new rules of the road;
• In case of violation of these requirements, the Locri transfers can legitimately refuse carriage.
ART. 2 RULES OF CONDUCT
2.1. It is duty of the passenger:
a) to comply with the requirements of travelers in the area of police, health, customs, administrative
authorities, health standards, etc;
b) to check data previously transmitted by our office (travel date, time, price, place of departure
and arrival);
c) to follow the warnings, the calls and the provisions of the crew issued for the safety and
regularity of the service;
d) to remain seated when the car or the bus is in motion;
e) not to smoke on the bus / car, both in the passenger that in enclosed spaces (WC), including
electronic cigarettes;
f) not to consume alcohol or substances in general which may alter their psychomotor skills;
g) keep a conduct based on rules of good behavior;
h) respecting the duration of the stop at the motorway service areas (maximum 15 minutes);
i) to show, if required, a photo ID to verify that the passenger’s name matches with the booking;
l) use the necessary precautions and ensure, as far as he depends on their safety and security and
people, animals and luggage that are in their custody.
m) the passenger traveling with a small child of age is required to protect themselves or inform the
special needs of the child seat to be fixed to the seat belts of the bus or the car.
The company disclaims any liability for accidents suffered by the passengers who have not
complied with these requirements.
2.2 The passenger is not allowed to travel, and during the journey itself can be removed without
the right to a refund of the price paid for the ticket, in case it represents danger to the safety of the
car and the passengers or causes grave disturbance to the other passengers.
2.3 The passenger is responsible to the Locride Transfers for any damage done to the bus or the
car. In the case of willful damage, the Locride Transfers reserves the right to lodge any complaint in
accordance with law.
2.4 The passenger is responsible for:
a) show up at the starting point at least 5 minutes before the scheduled time, except when
expressly asked to meet earlier in high season;
b) to verify through contacting our office departure and arrival time;
ART. 3 TRANSPORT MINORS
Children under 14 are not allowed to transport unless accompanied by adult. For children aged
between 14 and 18, it must be issued with a written consent of both parents or guardians.
The crew may ask the passenger the production of a valid ID card.
ART. 4 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF LOCRIDE TRANSFERS
4.1. Locride Transfers is not responsible for delays, missed connections or interruptions due to
causes not attributable to the company and in general for any event beyond its control (such as
strikes, bad weather, mechanical breakdowns, traffic, conditions of roads’, controls part of the
authorities, incidentals and force majeure).
4.2 Things and animals allowed on board the bus, remain under the custody of the traveler.
4.3 Locride Transfers is not responsible for any valuables inside the luggage (such as money, art
objects, precious objects and similar).
ART. 5 BAGGAGE
5.1 The passenger is entitled to free transport of hand luggage with maximum dimensions of
40x30x15 cm and weight up to 5 kg will be placed in the compartment.
5.2 The passenger is also entitled to free transport at their own risk two additional items of the
maximum size of 140 cm each (length + width + depth) and weight up to kg. 23. The bags are
placed in the luggage compartment of the bus and must bear the visible and legible indication of
the name, address and telephone number of the passenger.
ART. 6 TRANSPORT ANIMALS
6.1 The passenger may carry, by reservation, pets alive, not hazardous (such as small dogs, cats
and other small domestic pets) and weight up to kg. 10, except for guide dogs/ medical dogs.
6.3 It is permitted the transport of a single animal for paying traveler.
6.4 The passenger is responsible for the surveillance of animals transported for the duration of
transport and is only responsible for any damage to persons or property, caused by your pet.
6.5 In any case it is not allowed the occupation of the place putting on the same carrier: the seat
remains at the disposal of the only passenger.
6.6 In the event that the animal may disturb other passengers (for allergy problems, etc.) Under the
instructions of the crew, passengers and pet are required to occupy any other place available.
6.5 On the transport of animals apply the discounted rate of 40%, corresponding to the rate range
0/11 years, subject to different rate rules during the high season, periods when no rate discounts
may apply for age group. The guide dog/ medical dog is not subject to the payment of any note.
ART. 7 REQUEST INVOICE
The issue of an invoice can be requested by the passenger within 24 hours from the date of
purchase to the following e-mail info@locridetransfers.com
The invoice will be sent electronically to the email address provided by the passenger.
Terms of sale
Prices
Prices shown on the site are in euro, apply per vehicle and not per passenger, and include fuel, tolls, parking and the driver’s waiting time. The price shown in the quotation form is calculated on the current tariff and is an estimate: it becomes final with the written confirmation we send you. For per-kilometre journeys booked online, the price is the one calculated by the system at the time of booking. Transfers departing between 21:00 and 06:00 and on public holidays carry a surcharge of €15.
Booking and confirmation
A request sent from the site does not in itself form a contract. The contract is concluded when Locride Transfers confirms in writing that a vehicle is available for the date and time requested. Please check the journey details shown in the confirmation and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
Payment
Payment can be made online using the methods available at the time of purchase, or as agreed in the confirmation. Card details are handled directly by the payment service provider and do not pass through our systems. An invoice is issued on request, to be made at the time of booking together with the billing details.
Cancellations
If for any reason you need to cancel all or part of your booking, notice must be sent in writing, stating the reason, to Locride Transfers, via Letticugna 70, 89048 Siderno (RC), Italy, or by email to info@locridetransfers.com. Cancellation takes effect from the date and time we receive the written notice.
Unless stated otherwise in the booking confirmation, the following cancellation charges apply, calculated on the total amount of the booking:
- up to 90 days before the service begins: no charge;
- 90 to 60 days before: 30%;
- 60 to 31 days before: 50%;
- 30 to 15 days before: 75%;
- 14 days to the day of the service, and in case of no-show: 100%.
These are in addition to any charges applied by other suppliers involved in the service. For bookings made with other service providers, the cancellation policy of the provider concerned applies and is available on request. In all cases we reserve the right to retain a reasonable amount to cover the administrative costs incurred.
We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance that includes adequate cancellation cover.
Refunds
Unless agreed otherwise, refunds are made to the original payee, less any cancellation charges and other applicable costs. Payments received by bank transfer are refunded to the payer’s bank account in the same currency as the original payment. Cash payments made in a foreign currency are refunded in euro at the buying rate published on the day of the refund. Refunds are issued within fourteen days of the request being accepted.
Changes and services not provided
Requests to change the date, time or route are accepted subject to availability and may change the price. We accept no responsibility for costs arising from the cancellation or disruption of ferry services caused by bad weather, mechanical breakdown, suspension of sailings or any other cause beyond our control. If the service is not provided through the fault of Locride Transfers, the customer is entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.
Right of withdrawal
Under Article 59(1)(n) of the Italian Consumer Code, the fourteen-day right of withdrawal provided for distance contracts does not apply to passenger transport services to be performed on a specific date or during a specific period. The cancellation terms set out above continue to apply.
Complaints
Complaints should be sent in writing to info@locridetransfers.com within ten days of the date of the service, together with any supporting documents. We will reply within thirty days of receipt.
Governing law and jurisdiction
The contract is governed by Italian law. For disputes with consumers, the court of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile has jurisdiction. The European Commission provides an online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
